An Open Letter To The
“Fitness Over 50” Crowd
There are dozens of sites you can go to, plenty of email lists you can subscribe to, each having their own individual style and feel. In reality, I think you’re searching for something because you have a challenge or a frustration with your personal fitness or health you’d like to handle.
I think the challenge of not being where you would like in terms of fitness, whatever that means to you, is eating away at you and keeping you from being as healthy as you feel you can be.
I truly believe each person who seeks knowledge of health and fitness has the ability to show off their own God Given Talents and knowledge, and you are NOT the exception.
I believe that each of us has something to offer the fitness and health world, whether it be in weight loss, fitness, strength, training, healthy eating or any other aspect of healthy development. You might have come to this site to find that certain technique, the magic bullet if you will, or something that is magically going to fix whatever it is keeping you from getting to that fitness or health level you’re seeking, the level you deserve.
In other words, I believe you may be looking for that quick fix to make you healthier or more physically fit. I think you’re hoping it’s here.
Let me tell you a little secret, you probably already know what you need to do. A technique, movement, eating style or activity isn’t what you’re looking for. You already know that secret trick, it’s within you already.
I believe there is another reason that you’re not as healthy or as fit as you feel you should be. There may be something bigger that you haven’t realized what it is yet and it’s keeping you from doing it.
This may be what’s keeping you from moving forward, from getting what you feel you should get from healthy living. If you fail at being fit and healthy, whatever that means to you, you can somehow fall back and say “I just didn’t know how.” That will then justify why you didn’t get to the level you wanted and you move on saying things like:
“I knew this wouldn’t work for me, I’m different.”
“She was already fit to begin with, I’m not in her fitness league.”
“That guy has the genetics, I can’t do what he does.”
“I’ve tried dieting, I just can’t seem to lose the weight.”
The fact is, all those comments are nothing more than excuses. We’ve all said similar statements in our lives so what makes you any more different then the next person? Everyone has the same excuses, but not everyone has the same abilities to overcome those excuses. What really is your reason for not being as healthy or fit as you would like?
That fact is, you have to learn to change; change your thoughts, change your actions, change what you do and how you do it.
Techniques, workouts, and dietary changes are good to have, but you need to use what is within you, right now, to make them work the way they are designed. What you need are new thoughts to override your previous thoughts. You need to change how you look at how to make yourself more healthy and fit.
Don’t settle for excuses. Don’t accept it for yourself. If you’re not willing to listen, learn and change and do what you need to do, then why are you here?
I won’t promise you any magic pills, or secret workouts, or that special food that you don’t already know. I will promise you ideas and thoughts you may never have thought of on your own. Here’s the catch, I won’t do this alone. There is a whole family of Fitness and Health Experts within these pages that work hard at their craft to perfect what they do so they can share it with others.
The fact of the matter is, there is a plethora of knowledge to go around. Are you willing to be receptive, learn how others do these things, and possibly share your knowledge?

The choice is yours. Do what you need to do to get YOUR body where you feel it needs to be, whether that be your inner body or outer body.

Keep in mind, I’m in the same situation as you, I’m over 50 years old. I know what you’re going through, I’m right with you. The goal of TFS is to give you the knowledge, the desire, the “Yes I Can!” attitude to bring you back to the way you felt when you were yonger. I want you to live that fit and healthy lifestyle you need to be living! Now it’s up to you to choose what to do next.
