If you’ve read anything I write, you know by now I like to keep things simple. For the “Fitness Over Fifty” crowd, we sometimes need simple! So, I’m giving you 3 simple steps to follow to get healthier, ok?
I feel that basic, simple information will go further than complicated information. I feel this way because I believe the human mind will, eventually, grasp the simpleness of what’s going on and direct you to do whatever it is you’re doing in a more and more complex way. Or, at the least, get a deeper understanding of this simpleness and get it ingrained in your subconscious mind. In other words, it becomes second nature. Make sense?
So, that being said, let’s talk about fitness because, after all, this site is called “Top Fitness Strategies”…duh! In order to keep fitness simple, you have to do simple things, right? After all, that IS the easiest way to do it.
I will outline 3 simple steps plan to give you a little nudge towards a fitter you. If you’re already nice and fit, feel free to add to what I have to say in the comments, ok?
Working out is something that a lot of people try at least one time in their lives. But what they don’t think about are some of the workout missteps that come along with working out. I’m not talking about high school sports, I’m talking about actually going to a gym or buying workout equipment for the purpose of getting into shape.
But, a lot of these people have no clue as to what they are doing. Oh, it’s no fault of their own, it’s just something they really don’t know about.
Today, I will outline some common missteps people do when engaging in a workout program. Whether it’s for losing weight or gaining muscle, understanding the process and avoiding missteps will give you a much better workout and, therefore, much better results.
Once you joint the “Fitness Over Fifty” club, you need to realize the human body is actually quite impressive. All the things it can do is nothing short of a miracle. But, for purposes of this writing, we’ll stick with the physical stuff, ok?
The human body can run, jump, stretch, flex, bend….just to name a few things. So what does that mean for you, the fitness over fifty person?
Simply put, if you truly do understand the power the human body has, then you would know it is important to develop and improve those traits as much as possible.
I’m not going to talk about which workouts you should or should not be doing. Why, because just about everywhere you turn, another website is popping up telling you to lift this amount of weight or do this exercise instead of that one, and stuff like that there. Continue reading →
